The Brownlow Medal is the AFL’s highest individual honour. In recent years, it has become a betting phenomenon, attracting punters from around Australia and around the globe.
The 2016 edition features the shortest priced favourite in the award’s history. Geelong’s Patrick Dangerfield is $1.18 to mark his first year with his new club by winning the medal. But a red-hot favourite has not stifled betting, with plenty of other betting options available to punters. Most corporate bookmakers are offering ‘fav-out’ options without Dangerfield, while the Highest Vote getter by Team is also extremely popular.
Australiangambling’s Jake Equid and Bren O’Brien take a look at this year’s Brownlow, pick out some Best Bets and give you some advice on how to make the most out of the evening.
