The NRL regular season is going down to the wire. Round 26 has been set up perfectly after a number of results in Round 25 kept the fate of the Minor Premiership, top four and top eight undecided. Teams will be looking to establish momentum as they move into the Finals matches in the upcoming weeks.
Cowboys v Titans, Saturday September 3, 5:30pm
Starting from the bottom up, the first match of the weekend with real significance is that between the North Queensland Cowboys and Gold Coast Titans. The Titans can assure eighth position on the ladder while the Cowboys need a win to stay in the fight for fourth place. The odds are against the Gold Coast as they stand at $3.30 in contrast to the Cowboys at $1.33 with William Hill. The Cowboys are joined on 32 points on the ladder with Brisbane and Canterbury but a win here will give them four spot due to a far superior points difference.
Bet of the Match: North Queensland to win at $1.33

Tigers v Raiders, Sunday September 4, 2pm
Wests Tigers remain a possibility for the top eight after their win over the Warriors in Round 25. Their fate, however, is not in their hands as they must rely on the Titans losing as well as winning themselves against the Canberra Raiders. Canberra are favourites with William Hill at $1.65 with the Tigers at $2.25. Meaning the two teams battling for eighth spot could well both lose in this final Round of the season allowing the Titans to qualify for the Finals.
Bet of the Match: Canberra to win at $1.65
Broncos v Roosters, Thursday September 1, 7:50pm, Bulldogs v Rabbitohs, Friday September 2, 7:50pm
The race for the top four is a three way split between the Cowboys, Broncos and Bulldogs. The Broncos face the Sydney Roosters priced at $1.22 to win to keep the pressure on the Cowboys. Canterbury are expected to win as well at home against South Sydney priced at $1.65. For either of those sides to be upset by the underdogs William Hill are offering a Roosters win at $4.25 and South Sydney victory at $2.25. Expect the favourites to keep marching on towards the Finals.
Bets of the Matches: Brisbane to win at $1.22 and Canterbury to win at $1.65
Storm v Sharks, Saturday September 3, 7:30pm
At the top of the table the debate is not who will win it but what difference is makes. With a $100,000 on offer to the side that claims the Minor Premiership there is more than just pride to play for. Melbourne and Cronulla could well meet again in the playoffs meaning this match carries all the more importance. The Storm are priced at $1.46 with William Hill to claim the title compared to the Sharks at $2.75. This match will be a hard fought contest that could well go either way but Melbourne’s home advantage could be the key.
Bet of the Match: Melbourne to win at $1.46
