The end of the regular NRL season is almost upon us with only two rounds remaining. There are still the small matters of the minor premiership, the top four and the top eight all needing to be decided. A number of which can all be confirmed in Round 25.
Bulldogs v Cowboys, Thursday August 25, 7:50pm
Canterbury Bulldogs and North Queensland Cowboys are the sides standing in the way of the Broncos and the top four. A Canterbury win in this fixture would go a long way to securing fourth position for them as they currently sit two points above both the Queensland sides on the ladder. The Cowboys head into this match after showing some signs of resurgence in form last weekend and are priced at $1.67 with William Hill. Despite home advantage and a superior position on the ladder, the Bulldogs are underdogs priced at $2.20. They will have the confidence that they can overturn those odds.
Bet of the Match: Canterbury to Win at $2.20

Storm v Broncos, Friday August 26, 7:50pm
The Melbourne Storm can wrap up this year’s Minor Premiership on Friday Night Football at home to the Brisbane Broncos. A win here would put them out of reach of their closest rivals, the Cronulla Sharks. William Hill holds them as favourites to take the win and claim the title priced at $1.50. Brisbane will be aiming to spoil the party in Victoria as well as keeping their faint hopes of the top four alive. They require two wins out of the last two Rounds and teams above them to drop points but hope springs eternal. They are priced at $2.60, however, to claim victory in Melbourne.
Bet of the Match: Melbourne to Win at $1.50
Titans v Panthers, Saturday August 26, 5:30pm
The best way to describe the race for the top eight is simply, a battle. At one point there was only two points separating a number of clubs from the top eight and the doldrums of the bottom half. The Gold Coast Titans have the opportunity to secure their place in the Finals this weekend when they face the Penrith Panthers. These sides are separated by only one point in seventh and eighth place on the ladder. A win for the Titans (priced $1.78) would see them move above the Panthers and put both sides out of reach of the Warriors and Tigers in ninth and tenth due to the Panthers far superior points difference. Penrith stand at $2.05 to ensure the battle for eighth position continues into the final Round of the NRL.
Bet of the Match- Gold Coast to Win at $1.78
An enthralling NRL season is almost at an end for half of the supporters but finals footy offers all lovers of the game even more excitement. With the ladder being so close it is time for all the experts to start calculating the possible permutations one game at a time.
