Preview: NFL Week Four: Miami Dolphins @ Cincinnati Bengals
Date and Time: Friday September 30, 10:25am AEST
Venue: Paul Brown Stadium, Cincinnati
TV: Live on ESPN
The 2016 NFL season isn’t even a month old, but both of these teams find themselves needing wins in Week 4. They’ll face off on Thursday Night Football, looking to avoid a 1-3 start which would leave them in a difficult position to make the playoffs.
Despite both teams only saluting once so far this season, the head-to-head market is one-sided for this one. Sportsbet has the Bengals at $1.28 with the Dolphins rank-outsiders at $3.85. The line is at 7.5 points.
The market makes more sense once you have a look at who each team has played so far. The Bengals opening three games have been a road win against the Jets, a road loss to the Steelers and then a tough loss at home to the Super Bowl champions, the Broncos, on Sunday despite leading during the fourth quarter.

The same cannot be said for the Dolphins, they scraped over the line against the worst team in the AFC (Cleveland Browns) on Sunday which was proceeded by losses in the first two weeks to the Seahawks and then the Patriots.
The Bengals have a clear advantage on the defensive side of the ball. They are ranked 15th, having only allowed 356 yards per game compared to the Dolphins who in 28th position having allowed over 415 per game. Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill could be a weak point on Thursday night having struggled so far this season.
Miami has allowed a receiver to total at least 92 yards in each of the first three games, and they likely won’t have an answer for Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green. Cincinnati quarterback Andy Dalton will be looking to bounce back after being sacked four times last weekend against a tough Broncos defence.
Sitting alone in third place in a difficult AFC North, Cincinnati would be hard-pressed to win the division after losing at home to the Dolphins on Thursday but I’m backing them to be too strong at home by over a touchdown.
BEST BET: Cincinnati to win by more than 7: $1.99
